You may recall our announcement “Free Teams Comes to Hosted” where we said it’d be dropping in early Q3. So here we are and delighted to announce that it is now available in Beta.
If you are a member of our Hosted Beta Programme (which is distinct to the Carrier Services Beta Programme) you’ll have access to it on enabled customer accounts.
As a reminder, a number configured on Teams (which you map to a Teams user) is free in most circumstances with a Hosted Seat. When a call comes into the Sipcentric platform you can route it directly to Teams or invoke PBX functionality such as call queues or IVRs before doing so, and you can even route a call to a Teams user alongside a PBX user.
I’m not aware of anyone else in the marketing unifying the commercials or features in this way so hope you like it.
As a function on our Hosted platform, this is built on top of the Operator Connect capabilities in our Carrier Services platform. For our Hybrid customers who have access to both, or Carrier Services customers with their own platforms, you can tap into the root level functionality directly in scenarios where you don’t need the capabilities of our Hosted platform.
