Inside Simwood

From Tbilisi to Bristol

Hello! I’m Anuki, and I’m an Administrative Assistant here at Simwood. I joined the team nearly a year ago. This role has given me the opportunity to truly express myself, gain valuable experience, and grow professionally in my field.

As an Administrative Assistant, I handle various administrative tasks and support Jake, who heads up accounts with different projects, daily operations, and monthly reporting. Working alongside such a talented team has been incredibly rewarding.

A few months ago, my manager, Pete, suggested that I travel to Bristol to meet my colleagues in person. The idea was that getting to know each other face-to-face would bring us closer and improve our collaboration. I was thrilled by the opportunity and gladly accepted. We immediately began working on the visa process.

Parnita from Marketing, our fantastic team member, was incredibly helpful during the visa application stage. She provided detailed guidance and was fully involved in every step. Thanks to her support, I was able to obtain my visa quickly and prepare for my visit to one of Europe’s most fascinating countries: the United Kingdom.

Pete also made sure that I had the chance to visit London, my dream city! It was my first time there, and I was absolutely amazed. At the beginning, I was afraid of this big experience, but I managed without any issues. I walked around the beautiful city feeling excited, joyful, and happy. One of the highlights was visiting the iconic Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, London Eye, Westminster Abbey, Tower Bridge, London Bridge and etc, it was even more stunning in reality than I had imagined.

But one of the most memorable parts of the trip was spending a few days in Bristol with our amazing team. From the moment I stepped into the office, I was welcomed with so much warmth and kindness. Each and every team member greeted me with genuine smiles and open arms. They gave me a full tour of the office, showing me where everyone worked, introducing me to their routines, and making sure I felt completely at home.

The atmosphere was so friendly and positive, it felt like I had walked into a place where I truly belonged. We shared stories, laughs, and even inside jokes. And to top it all off, they even gave me a nickname-Nuks! That small gesture made me feel even more connected to the team. It was a sign that I wasn’t just visiting, I was part of something special. An additional vital fact is that I am a shareholder. As a shareholder at Simwood, I have the unique privilege of being deeply involved in a company that’s not only shaping the future of telecoms but doing so with integrity, innovation, and a relentless focus on doing the right thing.

It was heartwarming to finally meet the people I had been working with remotely for months and to see how naturally we connected in person. They made me feel not just like an employee, but a valued part of the company. (And as a shareholder too, that feeling is even stronger. I get to be both part of the day-to-day and part of the bigger picture Simwood is building, with integrity and innovation at its core.)

Another evening, we had dinner with other team members, which gave us a chance to connect on a deeper level. It confirmed for me that I’m in the right place, surrounded by genuinely kind and supportive people.

Parnita gave me a tour of Bristol and even took me shopping! She showed me some of the city’s most charming streets and local favourites. We laughed a lot and shared stories. It felt less like a work trip and more like spending time with a good friend.

At the end of my visit, the three of us, Pete, Parnita, and I, travelled together from Bristol to London. They insisted I sit in the front seat so I could travel comfortably, which I truly appreciated. Parnita, however, ended up in the back seat surrounded by all our luggage, big bags stacked around and even above her! Pete kept joking about it the entire ride, making us all laugh. It turned into such a fun and memorable trip. (Sorry, Parnita, for the not-so-comfy ride!)

I truly felt the care and attention from both Parnita and Pete; they made sure I felt safe and supported throughout my stay in a foreign country.

One more thing I’d love to share, Simwood expanded its payment options to include crypto. Customers can now pay in USDT or USDC over the Solana network, which means transactions are fast, secure, and borderless. It’s things like these that make me proud to say I’m part of a company that’s bold, principled, and always pushing forward.

In short, I’m beyond grateful for the experience in Bristol; the hospitality, the people, and the memories will stay with me forever.

Cheers! Hope we will meet again shortly!
