We’re pleased to announce SimCon2 is happening on February 7th and February 8th 2019!
We have an exciting agenda which will span both days (including late start on day 1 and early finish on day 2 to facilitate travel) with a social event on the evening of day 1 which will feature the first ever SimCon Awards!
As you’d expect, there’ll be a fair few talks from Simwood staff, but we also want to bring you the best minds and speakers from the wider VoIP community as well as sharing some customer stories. We’re being a bit more formal this year in soliciting submissions for talks and so we encourage you to get your proposal in before the deadline of December 31st if you would like to be considered.
We’ll be ticketing the event so you’ll need to register in advance to give us an idea of how many people are attending, and availability is on a strictly first-come-first-served basis, but we have a more robust waiting list mechanism this time! Tickets can be bought online and the event is free but you may optionally pay for a ticket and we’ll contribute the entire amount (net of VAT) to our nominated charity.
We’ve also arranged a great deal for local accommodation with the Aztec Bristol – It’s bed and breakfast only, and you’ll be responsible for extras but you’ll have full use of the great pool and spa (although we don’t know when you’ll find the time!). Rooms are also available at the Lodge at Bristol, which is just across the street from the main hotel and also has full access to the pool and spa.
This can be booked alongside your event tickets, and the price is the cost to us of the accommodation and will be non-refundable. Booking accomodation with your tickets will only be available until December 31st, after which you will need to find your own lodgings.
If you have any particular accommodation, such as if ‘double occupancy’ means twin beds (we’ll assume it doesn’t!), then please let us know and we will ensure these requests are passed on to the hotel, but we cannot guarantee they’ll be met.
There is plentiful (inclusive) parking at the hotels and we will be providing shuttles between the hotels and our SimCon2 venue, once again hosted in our lovely Simwood House office as well as to the local train station: Bristol Parkway. We can’t promise that nobody will need a taxi, but first-come-first-served transport will be available. We’d ask as many of you as possible to park at the hotels and utilise this as there is very limited parking at our office. Those of you requiring a Tesla charger will need to contact us – we have three bookings already!
We hope you can join us!
