In keeping with a list of countries we’re now losing track of, Sweden has jumped on the CLI blocking train.
Following guidelines from the Swedish national regulator – PTS (Post-och Telestyrelsen) – we will be blocking incoming calls towards Sweden (+46) that have Swedish fixed-line A-Numbers. This is part of ongoing efforts to combat fraudulent (spoofed) calls coming into Sweden from abroad. Incoming international calls with Swedish fixed-line A-numbers will be blocked as of December 5th, 2023.
The following Swedish fixed numbers will be blocked as A-number for all traffic with a +46 B-Number: +46 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 74, 75, 77, 78, 8, 9.
We also understand that incoming international calls with Swedish mobile A-numbers (unless they are roaming) will be designated for blocking at a later stage. There is no confirmed start date yet for this additional blocking
