It is some months since we first put our registration proxy out in beta. Whilst still in beta for now, we’ve released a new version of it. This has some architectural changes and yet more learning around security.
If you’re unfamiliar with what it offers, please do read the previous background, but we think it should displace the need for your own equipment in the majority of nomadic or SoHo applications. It is not a PBX, it is a proxy, but where you’re using a PBX for commodity applications this can greatly improve the experience and security for your users. Of course, as with other trunks, each has their own anti-fraud settings and identification within our CDRs.
