We’re been notified that Emirati mobile operators have implemented an MTR increase specific per country of origination.

Simwood does not have in-country direct connections to Emirati mobile operators, but we do work with operators who do.

We have been advised that due to these changes, calls originating from Algeria (+213) or Tunisia (+216), terminating into UAE (+971) may be blocked.

Simwood will not be directly blocking this traffic, and we have routes where blocking will not apply which traffic could overflow to, but we wanted to ensure customers were aware of this change as lots of traffic routing this way would trigger our loss protection.
